This spring, we will be presenting the world of Junko Kiritani at Daitokuji Temple Zuihoin and three satellite shops in Kyoto City.
In her 65 years of pottery making, Junko Kiritani has tried to "express the living soil itself," as if tracing the memory of the earth as remembered by the soil.
Her work has been described as "the creation of a small geological stratum," a form of reverence for nature that transcends the power of human modeling.
It has been described as "the creation of a small geological formation.
Mirei Shigemori, who studied Japanese gardens on his own at Zuihoin, the family temple of the Christian feudal lord Otomo Sorin, has created a unique garden.
Kiritani's work breathes new life into Mirei Shigemori's original garden.
Kiritani has had many exhibitions in Japan and abroad, and in 2018, she was invited to participate in the 160th anniversary of the France-Japanese friendship and the 50th anniversary of the death of Leonard Tsugouharu Foujita, Her works are exhibited at Fujita's residence and studio in France ever since.
Now that the once-in-a-century epidemic has taught us to "stop and think" around the world,
we quietly listen to the quiet voices of earthen art and stone gardens for a sustainable future.
Let's think about the path that the original person should walk.
At the satellite shops, you can actually use Kiritani pottery.
Please drop in and experience it.
We look forward to seeing you all at the exhibition.
