ROHM Theatre Kyoto (Kyoto Kaikan Hall) will be reopened in January 2016. ROHM Theatre Kyoto is equipped with a Main Hall that accommodates 2005, a South Hall that accommodates 716, and the newly constructed North Hall that accommodates 200 as well as two other small meeting rooms. We have also added a section that we call the Park Plaza with the goal of enlivening cultural and artistic projects. The Park Plaza will also be usable as a venue for receptions and conventions. The area surrounding ROHM Theatre Kyoto abounds with cultural resources such as museums, zoos, temples and shrines, allowing a visitor to experience the appeal of genuine Kyoto culture, art, history and tradition. Kyoto is a city of international culture and ROHM Theatre Kyoto will be reborn as a repository of culture, functioning as a theatre for opera, ballet, musicals, and plays as well as traditional Japanese performing arts while simultaneously meeting the needs of a MICE venue. ROHM Theatre Kyoto will be a bastion of stage arts in Kyoto, the city of cultural arts visited and loved by people the world over.
