Kagaku Murakami, Kaoru Yamaguchi, Kitaoji Rosanjin Exhibition

These three artists are the pillars of Kahitsukan・Kyoto Museum of contemporary Art’s collection. They hold significance in Japanese art, which we have been collecting over the years.
Kagaku Murakami(1888-1939) He is known as the 「Practitioner of strokes」for his unique usage of lines.
Kaoru Yamaguchi(1907-1968) He is known as the 「an artist with a poet's soul」for his richly poetic nature.
Kitaoji Rosanjin(1883-1959) He is known for his individualistic works in almost all fields of art and craft, including pottery, calligraphy, painting and seal-engraving.
60 pieces of art are exhibited of these three exceptional figures.
