KYOTO EXPERIMENT 2017 Teppei Kaneuji "tower (THEATER)"

Genre:
Visual
Category:
Visual Music

A fusion of sculpture and theater

The sculptor Teppei Kaneuji effortlessly transcends conventional categories of visual art to collaborate proactively with a wide range of specialists. Having now started creating his own performance work, this is a stage adaptation of his video work Tower and sculpture White Discharge. It features a giant tower structure and unfolds as a series of collaborative actions with various other creative talents. Partnering with the likes of chelfitsch and mum & gypsy actor Izumi Aoyagi, video artist Shimpei Yamada, and a text written by novelist Shin Fukunaga, Kaneuji’s stage tower will summon up an inventive fusion of sculpture and performance.
